A woman deals with her eccentric musician brother‘s bad decisions. Maybe I read this at a bad time but I just could not feel anything towards Nik but antipathy. Nothing that bad happened to him. Denise deserved better than orienting her life around a man who never gave her any consideration.
I have heard good things about Dana Spiotta. The writing was good but it did not resonate. I will try one of her other ones instead one day.
