The MIDNIGHT SIDE is Natasha Mosterts critically acclaimed debut novel, which tells the story of an incredibly seductive woman, who even from the grave is able to direct events to her satisfaction. Then Isa receives three sealed envelopes and a final request from Alette. The envelopes contain instructions on how to bring about the financial ruin of handsome, successful Justin Temple: the man who made Alettes life a misery while she was still alive. But as Isa travels to London to set Alettes elaborate plan of revenge in motion, she is in peril. Unbeknownst to her, Alette was murdered and now it is Isas turn to be drawn into the killers world of dark fantasy and lethal obsession.

Mehso-so

Was able to finish reading The Midnight Side this weekend and I found this book to be just ok. It wasn't a badly written book and the book moved along at a decent pace - I just wasn't able to connect with the characters and the book wasn't as suspenseful as one would have hoped for. However, I did enjoy the paranormal aspects of the book.

What I'm hoping to read this October for myself as well as some of the books we'll read with our little guy. Trying to finish The Ministry of Utmost Happiness although it is taking me some time to read through it - only about half way through now. If I have time, The Midnight Side seems like it would be a good October read.
