I didn‘t read as much in December as I wanted to, due to illness early on and my hubby being off work for the last 10 days. We‘ve been having fun just hanging out! 😂
But I did manage 2 bingos!

pickA soft pick. This was pretty repetitive on several counts, but there was lots of Christmas-y vibes, and the MMC is an NHL player, so yeah. Didn‘t hate that! I also rooted for the FMC, who has a complicated relationship with her mother, and was just trying to follow her passion.

pickShayla arrives in Ireland with her boyfriend Seamus for Christmas, hoping for a proposal. After meeting Seamus‘ family, his wealthy uncle Alabaster is found murdered at a holiday party. This was pretty cute, and I‘d read more of the series!

pickI held out as long as I could and went ahead and finished this today while I was doing the last of the holiday errands and wrapping. Loved it! I would really like to see an adaptation! This is loosely based on A Christmas Carol, one of my all-time faves, so I had a feeling I would like it.

pickFun read! A different kind of holiday novel but it really worked. I enjoyed the world that the author built, with each holiday having a royal family. Coal, the prince of Christmas is basically a screw up, and he is pitted against Hex, the Halloween prince, in a fake competition for the hand of the princess of Easter. When Coal finds out the reason for the ruse, he sets out to fix it, and falls for Hex in the process.

A perfect score! Home Alone isn‘t my favorite by far, but I‘ve seen it tons of times, and it is pretty funny. Here is my favorite Kevin quote: “Bless this highly nutritious microwaveable macaroni and cheese dinner and the people who sold it on sale. Amen.” 😂

As you can guess from my score, I guessed at the majority of the questions! The very first one surprised me the most - never in a million years would I have thought that St. Nick was based on a Greek saint. 🤷🏻♀️
