The book won a Caldecott Honor Medal in 2013. The book is about a distinguished boy who went to the zoo and decided to bring a penguin home with him. The penguin reminded him of himself. They both wear tuxedos. The boy does research on the penguin and learns how to take care of him.

I think this book would be a silly story to read students and I think it would make them laugh, I like the twist at the end where we see the dads pet

This book won the Caldecott award in 2013, it is a story about a boy and his fathers trip to the aquarium, the boy asks to buy a penguin and when he does the sales man thinks he means a stuffed animal, the boy takes the penguin home and we see him try to adjust everything to suit the penguin, the dad eventually finds out about the penguin and when you think he will be upset he reveals he also has a strange pet, a tortoise.

This book is a fun book to read to children if you talk about penguins, Antarctica, or being a good friend.

This book would be great for a 1st to 2nd grade age. It's silly and fits that age perfectly.
