The Very Hairy Not So Scary Swamp Monster - Story & Activity & Coloring Book for Kids. The story is told in rhyme for young readers with illustrated pictures that can be colored with crayons. The story in the book is about two brothers who venture out into Honey Island Swamp to attempt to trap the Honey Island Swamp Monster using a chocolate candy bar for bait. On this journey, they confront all kinds of dangers in the swamp, and soon realize they shouldn't have gone there alone, especially without permission. During the full moon night, the Swamp Monster takes their bait, and the net they set for him, catches them instead. The brothers realize the Honey Island Swamp Monster is very hairy, but not so scary and they decide he's better left alone in the wilderness. When their parents finally track them down and get them out of the net, the punish their boys for not getting permission to go in the first place. In the end, all is good and the brothers never tell the outside world about their new Swamp Monster friend.
