I really enjoyed this book. Although there is not a common theme throughout the book other than all of the readings being poems, I think that it gives a great background and look onto how poems sound and what they look like. Aside from that, I love that one is able to have a partner during the reading.
Not only do I like this book for those purposes, I also like the illustrations throughout. They are not too complex and are able to tell the story.

“And every time I look at you,
I'll think about our story too.“
The story was very rhythmic and had a great lesson and storyline to it. This book was published in 2004. 5y
