As I continue to seek to understand the racial division in the church, this book has helped me to understand that a lot of what we consider to be Christianity is nothing more than catharsis for many people who do not see real change but rather affirmation of their own self esteem. Real change only happens when the pursuit of Christ overtakes our pursuit of ourselves. Sadly our current state shows that Christianity is nowhere need this.
