Almost a Bingo - I needed one more “free“ space. Oh well.
I finished my #BookSpin and my #DoubleSpin - and of course - more importantly, read some great books!

My #BookSpin, #DoubleSpin and #BookSpinBingo list for March is ready

A lot of buddy reads and reading challenges

I‘m leaving a few extra free spaces for all the books on longlists at the moment and to be announced early March. I hope to receive books from the library and maybe buy a few

A very light pick. I just find it a bit... half-baked, I guess? Comparing it with the other book I was reading partly at the same time (The Tomb of Dragons), the world-building is pretty lacking. I'm sure it's great if you just want a cosy fantasy romance, but even in cosy reads, I often need a bit more; I wasn't really feeling this one. Might or might not read more of the series.

This was my last book in my game of avoiding a #BookSpinBingo!

shanaqui It was also the #BookSpin book (and Sir Hereward and Mister Fitz was the #DoubleSpin), so I've done well this month even if I don't hit my original goal of a blackout, because dang, it's been an awful month, what with my wife getting an eye injury (mild, already healed) and then breaking an ankle. 2d

Enchanted Glass | Diana Wynne Jones

(This cover is so much better than any of the English language ones!)

One of Jones' lighter and more accessible books, with a funny cast and a lot of magic to figure out. Unfortunately it's very attached to the grand comedic tradition of lots of fatphobia.

I loved it!
I get what the hype is all about! I was enthralled from page one and I kept turning those pages! Now on to book 2!

Last weekend, our area got 30cm of snow, and it put me in the mood to read the next book in remote and wintry Rockton. It's definitely more fun reading about snow than shovelling it! This was a good page-turning mystery/thriller.

LiseWorks Great series, we got 30 cm on a Thursday and then 30 more on Saturday. 😉 2d

Been cheering for Katie since she won her first gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. This book confirms she‘s cool, kind, down-to-earth & very passionate about enjoying life, having fun & yes…swimming! Fun to learn about her supportive family & inspiring grandmas-one who helped Albert Einstein translate his memoir! Too bad press coverage still leans toward the men. Let‘s hope Katie and more women Olympian champions will finally change that!🥇

MemoirsForMe Thank you @catiewithac for giving me this fun and empowering gift!😘🏊🏻‍♀️💦💦💦💦 3d

I enjoyed this #botm backlog (from 2017!) for my February #doublespin and #Roll100. Happy to move it along to a new reader.

PuddleJumper Yay! Clearing backlog feels great 3d

I loved One Tree Hill, I‘ve the series on DVD, & even to this day I watch ship videos of Nathan and Haley on YouTube. Thanks to all the listens who reviewed this book so I knew she had a book out

I‘m so glad I read this. Another reminder that we don‘t know what‘s behind the facade people put up. How easy it is for things to change since we‘re all looking for something. & love, to love friends & family even if they make the wrong choices
