I wouldn't have used the words unique or complicated to describe the female lead character, more like unlikeable and annoying is the words I'm thinking of. This book took longer than usual to get through because of my dislike of her, I struggled to finish and would've dnf'd but I DID like the male lead. He should have dnf'd her lol

I'm not really into monster horror but this was pretty good. It's been over 100 with high humidity everyday so reading the wintery descriptions in this made me wish I was at a ski resort up in the Montana Mountains in the middle of winter minus monsters of course lol

This was a lengthy book about the crimes of serial killer Tom Luther and the Colorado Detective that had to unravel the lies (and there were many) this guy told. The girlfriend of this killer really tried my patience BUT she helped put him in prison

Wow this one was a rollercoaster! Lots of twists that keeps you guessing

Alex Finlay combined the true incidences of the Albuquerque, New Mexico Blockbuster massacre and the Austin, Texas I Can't Believe It's Yogurt Massacre for this Thriller. Not specifically noted but too close to home for it to be a coincidence. Great Read!

It was hard to concentrate on what may have happened to Ben when I was worried about his cat not being fed through the whole book lol

An ice cold true crime, 4 young couples murdered in the late 80's Virginia. Terrible investigative work by park rangers, local police and FBI that no doubt contributed to the murderer ever being caught.

I've always been a fan of Ann Rule and now I'm a fan of her daughter Leslie Rule. This book takes stalking on a whole new level. Chocolate coconut peeps...yes please!

I didn't find this scary but it was definitely creepy. I felt full moon tea and skull cookies was perfect to pair with the book 🤣

This is the season for spooky reads and I would make this one of them 🍁🎃🍂

This book has a gothic feel to it, creepy but not scary and a few twists.

Although a good read I was disappointed that the plot wasn't what I thought. More of an action packed thriller than horror.

The weather today was beautiful so I went for a bike ride along the beach and found a pretty little library.

Started out a firecracker ended up a dud, that pretty much sums this book up.

This is not just another book about Jack the Ripper. This focuses only on the five victims lives from their childhoods to circumstances that led to them living on the streets.

The only thing I liked about this book was the beautiful descriptions of everything Hawaii. 🌺

This is a fictionalized story woven around a real serial killer of the early 1900's New Orleans plus an added bonus of the history of the city makes for a recommended read.

Although the subject matter was just wrong on every level the story sucks you in and you can't put this book down until the last page.

This is a well played out mystery that will keep you guessing till the end.

Another main character that's drunk and reckless with a unsurprising/unbelievable ending

I'm definitely in the minority with that I didn't love this book. I'm an animal lover and it was hard reading about constant animal killing, yes it was important to the storyline and I thought it would stop at some point...it didn't.

I took this at Eden Gardens State Park but used a dark filter to fit the Gothic theme of this book. I've seen mixed reviews but I have to say I liked this one.

I grew up in the Bay area of California in the 70's and 80's and remembering this all over the news but I was young and only half paid attention, now to use this same technology to catch the Zodiac (if still alive) that hit even closer to home.

There wasn't much of a storyline other than 2 people lusting after each other but with a cover like this what did I expect? 😂 Today was extremely hot so I made layered lemon jello cups, a good summer time dessert.

Listening to this while I workout but it's not really holding my attention. I'm determined not to bail.

This is the scariest book i've ever read because it could actually happen!

This book had too many characters and they were all unlikable. The storyline was a good one but the ending made no sense, the only reason I didn't pan it was because I thought maybe there's a sequel planned since it left you feeling the story isn't finished.

This was a very short read, I had it finished in a day! It was a true story of a bizarre crime in the 70's that left 1 survivor, the Gitchie girl! I actually would rate it between a pick and so-so if we had the option.

I started this unsure if I would like it and I finished still not sure if I liked it. Well written thoughts of everyone surrounding a murder. Simply put this book is what it is... So very depressing!
