Mehso-so

For the most part I liked this book, but I did get bored during the middle. The story seemed to stagnate and it just wasn‘t moving along. I think I would have enjoyed this book more if it had been written entirely in Mr. Croft‘s point of view. He was a thoroughly enjoyable character.

The Sweetest Burn | Jeaniene Frost
Mehso-so

I loved the first book in this series. This one seemed to be somewhat of a repeat of the first. Although I enjoyed it, I couldn‘t help but be disappointed.

Bailedbailed

I had to bail on this book. Once again it was a shallow repeat of the first two books, and although it gave a decisive resolution to the story, I still found it abrupt and lacking. No epilogue, just done. I also had trouble with the relationship of the main characters. The poor communication is a tired trope. This is not what I have come to expect from Ms. Frost. I was so frustrated I skimmed through half the book. It just couldn‘t hold me.

Pickpick

On the whole, I loved this book as a start to a new series. Taken on its own it is great, however, I didn‘t like the sneak peak the author gave into the lives of some of the characters from the previous series. I kind of want to read about all that glossed over turmoil and have an understanding of it so maybe it would seem so negative.
