Discover for yourself the mysterious allure and genius of Edgar Allan Poe, who remains one of America?s most popular and important authors, even more than 150 years after his death.

Mehso-so

Got this a couple months ago because my 7th grader needs to read the Raven and Tell-Tale Heart. I read all the stories and poems in this compilation. They were a little too male-centric, dry and built on the boredom for me. I got into some of the poems at the end and some of the stories I did really like, Murders in the Rue Morgue stands out. I also had some trouble with the old English. It didn‘t flow well for me while reading.

I took this photo last October when I bought this book. Since then, I have lost my Poekadot pencil case- full of my favorite things. ☹️ I never got to read my book-I think I‘ll add it to my October TBR along with Hocus Pocus :) Anubody else working on your October TBR?

TheBookAddict Oh no, I hope you find it soon. I usually don‘t do monthly tbr lists because I can never stick to them. My brain refuses and goes for some other book that seems more appealing at the moment. 6y
Amiable I was just in Baltimore this weekend -- and of course we stopped to visit Poe's gravesite! 6y
RavenLovelyReads @TheBookAddict Thanks for the well wishes, but it‘s gone for good. I lost it at my parent‘s house...I‘m convinced there‘s a black hole in that house determined to take all my favorite possessions 😂😂 6y

TheBookAddict Oh no! 😂 There must be one at my in-law‘s house too. We always forget and/or lose stuff there when we go visit. 6y
