I love reading old myths and legends, but I wonder with this particular translation if the translator was a little too eager to keep all of the poetic elements as some segments were very convoluted. Other wise a good story, and a fun little read.

The story of the ancient Greek hero Jason on his quest for the Golden Fleece. But really, he never would've made it without the help of Medea.

writerlibrarian Penguin Classics are just so lovely, aren't they? 🙂 (edited) 7y

This feels like an 'it's not you, it's me' moment. I need to sit down with some Greek mythology 101 books.l because there are so many names in these that I think I'm expected to know and I don't and it just becomes difficult to follow, I will try again when I know what I'm talking about
