Not book related, but I was excited to post an update about the nesting mourning dove I mentioned last Friday in my #5JoysFriday: Mama dove has a baby!
We greet her quietly whenever we use the gate, and she seems comfortable enough with us, so hopefully, she will remain safe and happy there until baby can grow up strong and healthy!
(And doesn't she have gorgeous eyeliner?)
I‘m late to the #5JoysFriday party once again. It‘s Saturday night in Oregon & family time won out, so here goes:
1. I had a 4 hour lay over in PDX on the way to Boise & I treated myself to a joyful breakfast (Quiche Lorraine & a mimosa) before getting Stumptown coffee & relaxing in the Alaska lounge & ⬇️
2. This joyful view of Mount Hood flying into PDX yesterday—I wrote a haiku about it today(next post down).

1) Finally decided which books to buy with a gift card.
2) Farmville…mind numbing is occasionally warranted
3) Finished binging GG and I have thoughts but I have never felt so seen in a TV show. Lane with an SDA mom was a nicer version of my life as a teen. I hid my radio in a cut out dictionary.
4) Time in my sewing room. Finished a baby quilt
5) Monday‘s concert … music is life changing, soul cleansing, necessary

2. I watched Remember The Titans. I saw it when I was a little girl but I forgot that I‘ve seen it.
3. I finished my chicken salad from last night and had some tuna fish salad with it.
4&5. I reapplied for St. Martin‘s Press Early Readers Program after being in it for years and I got rejected but at least I get to read ARCs for The Smuthood PR and Chasing Books PR.
