A Ring of Truth: A Henrietta and Inspector Howard Novel | 
pickI was a bit disappointed with this because l was expecting a cosy mystery (that's how it is promoted). It is actually a romance with a side mystery thread.
I'm not at all a romance reader, so l was annoyed with all the romancy stuff, but the story is nice in itself, all the characters are relatable, so l ended up enjoying it nonetheless.
Nice 1930s setting too.
