so-soI have to admit, despite loads of people i deeply respect recommending Vivian Gornick to me (this book and others), i always find myself underwhelmed at the end. At least this one gave me some good book recommendations?
batsy I enjoyed her capacious intelligence in this one but you're right, it was somewhat uneven and missed the mark quite often? Or something. This is the only one of her books I've read so far... 6y
