Mehso-so

A good premise (pre-Victorian stalker situation with friends-to-lovers couple) but too much "tell" not enough "show" for my taste. Jeffries shows some cards too early IMO but does a really nice thing by having the heroine change how she refers to a situation late in the book (cryptic but spoiler).

Pickpick

After the fantastic but heavy Homegoing I needed something light. A romance with friends pretending to be in love who then actually fall in love is perfect!

I really wanted to love this....but it was just sort of ok. Again it's the instalove that I sort of had an issue with. However it's an easy read and had a couple of saucy scenes. I'm not massively into romance so maybe there's where the issue lays for me! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
