I liked this much better than its predecessor â€Die Spur der Bücher“. It had more book magic (Bibliomantic) and the story was easier to follow.
Like in â€Die Seiten der Welt“ I hugely loved all the literary and/or bookish details Kai Meyer wove in to make his universe lively.
In the end it‘s like he himself says: It‘s possible to read both prequels independently from the original trilogy as they are set 130 years earlier and have new protagonists.
