I read this book in Dutch originally, and when I found out it had been translated, I had to read it. And it was lovely. It brought back lots of good memories for me and I found that rereading this book felt like a warm hug. I‘m very attached to the characters and though, it might not seem as good to me as the first time I read it (correction: was read to me), it is still a wonderful and wholesome adventure story.

Reyzl What a beautiful reunion❤️ Inevitable question: Dutch or English version?🙂 1y
Lovelylottereader @Reyzl Oh that‘s a difficult one! I‘d have to say Dutch, partly because of the memories attached and the fact that it‘s the original but also because it was more of a fairytale-like version, in my personal opinion, making it a lot more ✨magical✨ to read! 🙃☺️ 1y
Reyzl I‘m happy with the answer as I was rooting for the Dutch choice😊 1y

“I don‘t think I can do it.”
“Yes, you can,” says Fish. “You‘re made of the right stuff. The good stuff.”
“Stuff?” shivers Lampie. “What kind of stuff?”
“The stuff of heroes.”
