Ran across this book in a NYTimes article on Francis Ford Coppola & had to look it up. Since "Chinatown" is one of my favorite movies of all time this book is now on my TBR & my list of books to track down.

While at times a bit jarring in structure and flowery in prose, this account of what many consider the Golden Age of Hollywood is a fascinating look at the movers and shakers who brought Chinatown to the screen. From the horrific murder of Sharon Tate to Roman Polanski fleeing the country and everything in between, this book is like being at a fabulous dinner party with fascinating guests who have amazing stories to tell.
Appropriately enough, I‘m starting this book on Jack Nicholson‘s 83rd (!!) birthday!
