pickThe Cats in Krasinski Square is a historical fiction book written by Karen Hesse and illustrated by Wendy Watson. This book gives information on people that lived during the time period of the Holocaust. It is more kid friendly because it has a focus on cats.
pickIt's really hard to write a great kids book about the Holocaust. This one, by Newberry Medal winner Karen Hesse, does an amazing job. I love this page because the carnival swing reminds me of my ggpa's painting, Luna Park.
