pickI loved this book so much! It‘s the story of a Hungarian aristocrat who marries a Jewish girl against their families‘ will. They later divorce and when the Nazis invade Hungary, he and his current wife help her and her current husband to hide in the basement of their house. Their love story unveils along with the development of the invasion. The story keeps you hooked up until the very last page.
