"Lucky Bounce is a funny and charming hockey romance that I couldnt put down." - Rachel Reid, USA Today Bestselling author of Time to Shine A single dad pro hockey player falls for his biggest fanwho just happens to be his five-year-old daughters teacherin this fun, flirty romantic comedy from Cait Nary Ezekiel Boehm is no stranger to teaching kids with famous parents. But when the pro hockey player hes been thirsting after walks into the Rittenhouse Friends School gym hand in hand with a tiny kindergartener, he figures he must be hallucinating. Spencer McLeod is a lot of thingsZekes favorite winger on the Philadelphia Liberty; a menace on the ice; a mumbling, reluctant but somehow captivating-as-hell postgame interviewbut hes not a dad. Except he is. Apparently. Zeke can be chill about this. He can. Surprisingly, the more time he spends with Spencer, the easier this becomes. School volunteer events turn into reserved seats at games, turn intomore. A bit different from the previous Cait Nary romances. This one is told from the POV of the non-hockey player. It‘s super sweet.

Cait Nary proves her romcom chops here. The first half is absolutely hilarious with the banter and the cuteness and the MOMENTS; the second settles into a still adorable and sweet but also a bit more serious look at how the characters relationship. IT‘S SO GOOD. If you‘re after a low-angst romance about people who‘re good to and for each other in really funny and affecting ways, you need to get LUCKY BOUNCE when it drops on January 9th.

GirlNamedJesse Couldn‘t find the arc, so I pre-ordered it. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks for posting about it; I can‘t wait to read it! 11mo
GirlNamedJesse Also, the tone of this one‘s description reminds me of E.L. Massey‘s books: also funny and sweet, also hockey, also queer, and absolutely amazing! 11mo
xicanti @GirlNamedJesse ooh, I‘ll have to give Massey a try! 11mo

Okay, so, I read this while I sat next to Rocco, who‘s the NICEST DOG who had the HARDEST START (his first family abandoned him and he lived rough up north for about a year) and now I‘m all emotional and weepy.

This book has a lot of dog talk in it, and a bunch of rescue dog profiles as part of a dog search for a little kid who wants a dog SO BAD. I love it so much.

CoffeeAndABook 🥹 I‘m sitting her with our rescue dog Zelda and couldn‘t agree more! She‘s the sweetest, most fiercely courageous doggo soul I know 💓 say hi to Rocco from us 👋🏼🐾🐾 12mo
xicanti @CoffeeAndABook hi to Zelda, too! Dogs are the best. 12mo

I was mighty excited when Harlequin asked if I‘d like an ARC of Cait Nary‘s third book, LUCKY BOUNCE, because I loved her first so damned much. I started it this morning, in between doggie play sessions, and it‘s exactly the right note to start 2024. SEASON‘S CHANGE was wonderful but also high stress; LUCKY BOUNCE is pure delight. I‘m 9% in and I‘ve already grinned and giggled SO DAMNED MUCH.

I know what I‘m doing with my afternoon.

xicanti @CarolynM this one‘s got a very different tone, but it‘s just as good! 12mo
