I have not read these but heard of good things about the author. The book on the left,an autobiographical novel,has inspired the movie Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing in 1955. The tagged book is about the Emergency Period in Malaya & Singapore circa late 1940s where a guerrilla war was fought between communist terrorists and British, Australian and New Zealand armed forces. It tells the lives of many people caught up in the war.#rain #jubilantjuly
