OVER THE LIMIT | Daniela Dal Pai
Martina is a full-time nurse and mother whose life is interrupted the day she reads her husband Mattia's blood count report. Right away, she is concerned about a serious hematological disease, but she can't imagine the turmoil it will bring to her and her family. A whirlwind of hope, strength, fear, disappoint- ment, depression, new friendships, and relationships that come to an end. Along with her family, she finds herself experiencing emotions she never thought she would feel.
The impact of the disease and its many hospitalizations teaches the couple to assign a different value to life, appreciate the little moments of happiness, and reprioritize people and events. Illness becomes a disguised manifestation of the power of love. Through this difficult journey, Mattia and Martina learn what it means to be genuine. They experience firsthand their own physical and psy- chological limits, and their strength becomes a life lesson to everyone around them.
