Mehso-so

As #TheGoldenGirls celebrates its 40th anniversary, I thought this would make for a fun & dishy details from the set. Unfortunately, this isn‘t quite the gossipy fun listen that I expected— it‘s a more serious, media studies case study approach about the shifting popularity as the show has proven successful both in original broadcasting, the rerun market & now on streaming. Exploring its appeal to multiple audiences, this is interesting but dry.

Bookzombie I have been listening to a Golden Girls podcast off and on and they talk about this one a lot. It might be what you are looking for. I haven‘t read it yet. (edited) 1mo
TorieStorieS @Bookzombie Oooo! Thank you for the recommendation!! I‘m going to add it to my never-ending book wish list! This one wasn‘t bad… but it wasn‘t much fun! They did have a few very brief interviews with some producers & writers— those were the parts that kept me listening!! Thank you for being a friend!! 🥰 1mo
