For Part 1 I was in my tween/teenager head totally immersed in 1970s disaster-movie mode of nuclear proportions, and I loved it. Following this there‘s a genre switch then with a major twist - neither of which I was anticipating. I liked the entire story, but especially Part 1.

Happy Publication Week! With multiple perspectives, this fast-paced book is impossible to put down! On an evening commute, a text alert announces that a nuclear missile is approaching South England within an hour. Thrust into this scenario, some chaos is unavoidable, but overall this plot surprised me more than expected. Such a pageturner with a steady level of tension, lots of cliffhangers & brief chapters making it easy to read “just one more!”

The workday is ending when suddenly an emergency alert goes out—a nuclear missile is headed toward southern England and will hit in 59 minutes. We follow multiple characters as the clock counts down, making for a tense a propulsive read. I really liked this and especially liked that it didn‘t end up where I expected.
