An emotional roller-coaster highlighting the struggles of clinical depression through poetry. Whimsy sees her world through a magical lens of fairy tales. Her story mirrors that of the original Grimm tales where the world was full of danger and small glimmers of hope.
 @MeganAnn I finished this book a couple of weeks ago, but I found myself immediately diving back in. McBride incorporates so much into her poems and I wanted to catch it all.

This was a lovely and imaginative retelling of Snow White and Rose Red

Tor Books and Veronica Roth just announced this follow-up to one of my favorite books from 2024 (tagged)! While the first book was a complete and satisfying story, I am excited to return to such a rich, unique world.

I'm up to ch 5. The first 3 chapters are a bit of a slog but it seems to be improving.

Very cold temperatures yesterday (high of -6 F) meant lots of cozy reading time. Finished #auldlangspine book 4.

This was a fun music inspired retelling of The Little Mermaid. I loved the Disney movie as a girl so it was delightful to find all the connections with that story & see how the author brought Ariel & Eric to a modern timeline. The music theme w/ Eric‘s up & coming band + Ariel‘s pop princess background added a fun element to the story.

Nothing like the Magic of Disney to calm the worry about what tomorrow might bring.

ABC showed the new Beauty & The Beast tonight! Could never find this on DVD, and we were absolutely thrilled!

A grown up version of the childhood animated classic.

Incredible movie that goes directly onto my all-time favorites list.

A fantastic retelling of Sleeping Beauty. A reverse where the princess is evil and the fairy is good. I love T. Kingfisher‘s books and this novella didn‘t disappoint.
