

I read this for a work group. I didn‘t hate it, I just think the people who need to apply it the most are not the ones reading the book. This was a good read, nonetheless, and we had some great conversations because of it.

3 ⭐ Celebrity author, books are one thing but when they use their life to tell a fake story, it doesn‘t always work. This book very much reads like Alex Rodriguez is sharing the glory days of his youth. It‘s overly long and tad bit tripe and feels like a giant fish story. I do think the illustrations are great and I love how in the end they included real pictures and Ted bits about Alex Rodriguez‘s life.
4 ⭐ . This book was lovely. It rhymes; it has a nice cadence. It keeps things simple. It just works on every level. The illustrations are what they need to be and show diversity so this book can be used in many places. Overall, I really like this book, and I would use it for story time repeatedly. As for a celebrity author, I think she had help.

This one was new to me & so adorable! The twins have to earn their own money if they want to go visit Great Aunt Helen, so they decide to start a dog-walking business. Jess shirks her responsibilities but Ken, who loves dogs but isn‘t allowed to have one, is thrilled to help. They get an opportunity to earn more money when Mr. Quincy brings his dog, Joe, for them to watch for a week. Joe is a Samoyed & is covered in cuts & bruises. The twins &⬇️
