My first Austen read, and definitely not my last🍰

I enjoyed some ideas within this book, like the Hounds that accompany each magical character. Unfortunately, I just wished the heroine were a little more true to her "humble" character, rather than bragging about her abilities. The explanation of some elements also lacked, leaving me a bit confused.

I originally purchased this book for the gorgeous cover 😍, but was pleasantly surprised in terms of plot and Dinah's characterization. If you're a fan of retellings, this is definitely a good (and short) read.

A great conclusion to the series. Definitely recommend reading Fairest first, as it reveals some background information useful in Winter.
