An absolute riot of a book. Hysterical. Laugh out loud funny. No, seriously. I was trying to read it on the sly but couldn't because I kept laughing.

Brilliant. Love love love this book. Great story but so much more. It's the asides that separates it from a normal novel (like the ever so brief exchange between Richard Wright and DW Griffith). Can't recommend it enough.

A book about the life of a lead singer of a band and the only thing missing is his live performances. Instead, we ride with him through life. And the best part is the music that comes with it, filled with odd lyrics that would make no sense if you hadn't read the rest of the book.
