This book was very technical and must have involved a huge amount of researched. It is detailed with first hand accounts of meetings and conversations with the movers and shakers of the commercial world in India. Really great read that will educate the reader on the current business world, and how things work.

Habibi | Craig Thompson
Pickpick

I loved this graphic novel. They way in which the artist seemlessly transitioned through time while telling the story of a girl growing into a woman in a sexually oppressive climate is stunning. Thompson delicately braids in Islamic rhetoric and Arabic fables and tales in order to contrast the reality the characters face. The novel also show cases how the culture has developed and morphed over the centuries. Very insightful + beautifully executed.

The Blood of Flowers: A Novel | Anita Amirrezvani
Pickpick

This is a wonderful book that actually takes you into another world. Amirrezvani almost takes you on a tour of historic Isfahan, whilst telling a commingled of age story of a girl whose family meets a tragic fate. I could feel the desperation that the main character faced and the strength that she had to over come her obstacles are motivational. The story is also weaved in the artistry of carpet making, and the magic that goes into it.
