Reading this book felt like living a dream - a dream full of books, mystery, the families we create, and friends who are gained and lost. It‘s intriguing but not a fast read. I would love to visit Barcelona and retrace the characters‘ steps. The walk-through at the end of the Kindle edition was a nice touch.

This is a creepy YA from Megan Miranda. From the beginning, you know the MC stabbed her boyfriend to death, but the details only become clear as you move through the book. She tries to move on and have a fresh start, but then it looks like history is repeating itself. . . . This is a page-turner!

🤔 This had a very different ending from what I‘d imagined. It was abrupt. I thought there would be more to the story, but I guess it was fitting. This book was quite different from what I expected. There is a mystery, but I wouldn‘t really qualify it as a thriller. It was more of a slow burn for me. Even the twist/reveal near the end was not a huge surprise. That said, it was an interesting look at family dynamics and the relationship between Lucy and Diana.

This is the #mmdflightpick for September, although I had already purchased it on sale for Kindle because of its ties to Jane Eyre. Jane Steele is quite an independent woman for her time, and she has a tendency to take matters into her own hands. I wish I had had more time to read over the past week. I would have devoured this book much more quickly! It‘s definitely worth a reread! #ModernMrsDarcy #mmdbookclub

#unpopularopinion 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. I was glued to The Almost Sisters but had to force myself to finish this one. It‘s full of secrets and some twists, but it‘s #notforme. I think I struggled with this one because Amy wasn‘t a very sympathetic or likable character.
