The heart-stopping first chapter in bestselling author Jessica Shirvington's Disruption series. What if a microchip could identify your perfect match? What if it could be used against you and the ones you love? Eight years ago, Mercer Corporation's M-Bands became mandatory. An evolution of the smartphone, the bracelets promised an easier life. Instead, they have come to control it. Two years ago, Maggie Stevens watched helplessly as one of the people she loved most was taken from her, shattering her world as she knew it. Now, Maggie is ready. And Quentin Mercer - heir to the M-Corp empire - has become key to Maggie's plan. But as the pieces of her dangerous design fall into place, could Quentin's involvement destroy everything she's fought for? In a world full of broken promises, the ones Maggie must keep could be the most heartbreaking. Ages 14+

The plot was amazing! I loved the whole dystopian concept of M-Bands and the matching. The world building was so good and everything was well written, the writing style was simple yet enjoyable, and the pace was pretty fast throughout most of the book, the characters were likeable, but at some times Maggie seemed too manipulative to be amazing, that girl is deffo a slytherin! I loved the sweet romance with enemies to lovers, overall I loved it!

About a 1/4 through, so far it's pretty good. The main character Maggie is a good manipulator, but she's slowly getting unlikeable...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
.
Maggie lives in a world where Mercer Corporation‘s M-bands have become mandatory. Starting as the evolution of the smartphone, these bands have evolved to control every aspect of society‘s life. This band uses pheromones and other biological parameters to decide who is the best, most suitable match for you, as well as having other beefed-up smart-watch life features.

Disruption was a surprisingly interesting read that pulled me quickly into the dystopian story about a world where people are defined by their pheromones. Fast paced and full of excellent dialogue, this story is brought to life by its intriguing characters and gripping storyline. It isn't perfect, though, but I couldn't put it down and for that, I enjoyed it greatly.
