Mehso-so

Maybe I would've liked this trilogy more if I had read it in the correct order. But even then one just feels that it's one of the earlier works by Asimov. The ideas behind the story aren't bad, but the whole plot lacks depth and all the meaning we find in his later books.

But I'm happy to still have finished the series and now can move on to Asimovs other works.

Rik is a spacio-analyst that while reading the elements found in the currents of space discovers that planet Florinia is about to be destroyed. When he is going to alert the authorities his message is intercepted and someone erases his memory. He now lives like a simpleton in the planet Florinia, whose population and natural resources are exploited by planet Sark.

A slow burn, but the political intrigues really keep you hooked all the second half.

Smaller story than I was hoping but very neatly packed, only one loose string that I'm not sure completely works. Quite satisfying though and engenders the need for the more epic.
