Bailedbailed

Weird, how moods change. After about 40 pages I was bored by everything in this book and decided to read the last 50 pages. It felt like I didn‘t even skip 200 pages.

It was a typical Brett. So I knew what I would get but the pattern of her stories this time simply didn‘t pick me up, if you know what I mean.

On to the next book …

Decided for this one. I wanted something I would like. Something I would have a reasonable chance to fall into. I recalled I wasn‘t too overwhelmed by my last Brett but I don‘t know. She has that something. By reading my own last post about this book, I recalled, it‘s fiction. That was a bit disappointing because I was already looking forward to some autobiographical stuff.

But be it. Let‘s go.

I should go to bed but I rather am reading.

Weird, but despite my slight disappointment about “In full View”, I‘m looking forward to “Just like that”. As far as I know it‘s a novel (like “Lola Bensky”) and I am really curious how much Lily and how much autobiography I will detect in there.

It‘s funny how I seem to read her books non-chronologically. “Only in New York” was from 2014, “Lola Bensky” from 2012, “In full View”from 1997 and “Just like that” is from 1994.
