I think I missed the other two Oscar Nom list posts, so I‘ve done all three just now. Ive seen a total of 17, with 1963-1987 being my best at 10. But, the early years have some of my favorite movies ever - Gaslight, To Kill a Mockingbird, Captain Blood (OMG, Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone, AND Olivia de Havilland?? HEAVEN!), Adventures of Robin Hood, and Philadelphia Story (KATE!!). This was fun @dabbe Thank you. #threelistthursday #tlt

I was surprised at how many disaster movies made the list of nominees.

I loved:
1. The Color Purple
2. Coal Miner's Daughter
3. Norma Rae

In related news, since my elder kid went away to college, my teenaged son and my husband have had greater influence on which movies we watch, which means I am watching a lot of Marvel and Tarantino and not much else. It's nice to be reminded that other movies exist!

ImperfectCJ @dabbe I watched SO many disaster movies when I was a kid! And that whole bunch of movies with enormous animals (ants, rabbits) terrorizing people. Those don't seem to have made the list of nominees, though. :-) 18h
