I do miss the days of young children, buying books on a whim to read to them. I most certainly would have done that today, with this book. This is the cookbook section of Bellabooks, absolutely lovely, and this children‘s book placed perfectly there.

kgriffith I know it‘s not the same, but you could read it to me sometime, if you were so inclined. 💜 5y
kgriffith The rest of your polo came through today — it had said that your recording got interrupted and that I‘d be alerted when you came back, but I had sort of given up expecting that to actually happen and then, there it was 😊 5y
brandybear22 I clicked on it because it said that I could send you a reminder to watch it, but I thought that was silly 5y

So interesting to read a folktale from a different culture, and the magical realism and the illustrations make this fun and different and strange and funny. My 6-year old thought the entire concept of a giant chicken and speaking chickenese to it was hilarious.
