This seminal comics event starts well enough. You can feel how much fun writer Wolfman and artist Pérez had weaving all their favourite DC characters into an epic tale of worlds literally colliding in space and time. It could‘ve been a great 6- or even 8-issue arc.
At 12 issues, some double-sized, it‘s just too long. The back half is peppered with lead-ins to stories continued in other books, too. I got bored and bailed with 140 pages to go.
