Usually I'm so so on poetry books, but Brenna Twohy was consistent. I enjoyed most of her poetry.
My favorite is The Problems with First Dates, or How to Really Really Really Not Get Laid. Please go check it out 📚

Recent poetry reads that I loved: blood percussion is about being black in Chicago. That is an EXTREME nutshell. It's heartbreaking. Forgive Me My Salt is probably my favorite of the three: Brenna Twohy writes about sexual assault, depression, and anxiety with such honesty. New American best friend took me a minute, but I love it. #nationalpoetrymonth
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars for Forgive me My Salt by Brenna Twohy. I got this in the mail earlier today and I've already finished it. I'll probably reread it within the next couple of days because I loved it, and because good poetry gets better with rereading. Brenna Twohy's poems are emotional and raw, and she tells her stories in a voice that is uniquely her own. I also liked the way she uses humor in some poems to ease into tough subjects. Do recommend.
