This book has such a strong start and so many poignant moments that it left me expecting a stronger ending. All the same, worth a read! Especially for anyone who grew up in the strange liminal world of American suburbia. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well that's a hell of a way to start a story. #AliceMcDermott #ThatNight #openinglines

brenda.joyce.patterson I agree. This is one of the best story openings I've ever read. Sheer poetry. 7y
