The third installment in the Sarah Plain and Tall series continues to carry you quietly along in the life of this family, this time through brother Caleb‘s eyes. Glenn Close is an amazing narrator on these middle grade audiobooks. Will definitely be listening to the next one.

With all the contemporary books filled with graphic violence, profanity, abuse of all kinds, and pornography, it was so relaxing to read this gentle, old fashioned book about love and forgiveness. Heartwarming.
I am tutoring a lovely woman from India in English. One of my strategies involves the two of us doing a buddy read. Our first book was Sarah,Plain and Tall. It was the first book in English that she had read on her own, and she loved it! We had wonderful discussions, and have decided to continue the series.
Today was the last day of school & to celebrate, I read a book then took a delicious two hour nap this afternoon.
