Dorothy West wrote only 2 novels but assisted the careers and publication of many others. It's a shame. She has exquisite skill. 60 pages in and am sure I'm in the hands of a natural and masterful writer. Will check back in when I finish!
Litsi This turned out to be a fabulous read. This is a singularly special look at a devious and funny woman of color making her way in the early twentieth century. A fascinating introduction to Harlem renaissance literature. (edited) 9y
