This is the latest book, #20, in the Jack Logan crime thriller series. It says something about the quality of the writing, plots and characters that have kept me interested this long. In fact, this is one of the few books series I have stuck with from the beginning. Loved this book as much as the first. Lots of twists and tension to keep you interested. 50/100 The first of a series, where corporations have their own superheroes, and make contracts to protect people and property. It doesn't really work as a superhero story, but as a work place comedy, it's actually pretty funny. Andrea starts as a fish out of water, but quickly comes to be invaluable to C.U.P. With 76% read & 9 chapters remaining…this is a solid DNF for me. No matter what I did, I could not focus or keep track of everything that was going on. Too wordy for my tastes - reminded me of reading Shakespeare in HS😬🫨

This is a taboo, age gap romance story with a lot of steam. I liked the characters a lot and wished there had been more development. The plot was good but it too could have used a bit more development. Especially the ending, which I thought wrapped up a bit on the quick side. Overall liked but wanted more. Each story is set in the worlds of the author's various novels, so if you haven't read the original novel, the story might be confusing.
