I'm listening to Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder Series in order this year because somehow I missed some. I enjoy this series, and even though this is only the 4th book, Kate has grown so much since the first one. She is definitely a bad ass and so much harder on herself than others are. Book 4 looks at missing teenage Amish girls on Rumspringa. Kate is asked to help BCI by Tomasetti. He thinks that with her background, she'll ⬇️

Finished this one yesterday, it‘s the 2nd of my March #Roll100 picks (#51 Any Library Book) & the 5th book from my #AuldLangSpine list from @JacqMac & I loved it! A historical mystery centered around a real-life midwife, Martha Ballard. I found the mystery gripping in how it unfolded & the look at midwifery in 1779 in Maine was interesting. The author‘s notes in the back about the choices she made in telling Martha‘s story were also ⬇️

Not the best in the series, but still an enjoyable “cosy” read. Phryne is such a wonderful character.

Wonderful! I will have to plan an entire day for watching Al‘s 🎥 ‘cause somehow, I‘ve not seen many of them😳

I absolutely love listening to autobiographies/memoirs that are read by the author(s). I‘m always fascinated & intrigued by their life experiences.

28/100 The only reason I didn't DNF this after 50 pages is my respect for the author's writing. If you've read any Brunner, you know he writes serious, thought provoking science-fiction, so I don't know what possessed him to write this comic farce. Sadly it's not funny, there are quite a few painful stereotypes, the gay guards at the Vatican called the Swish Guards 🙄. The only amusing part was how many famous sci-fi writers names ⬇️

The fifth, and (so far?) final instalment of the Before The Coffee Gets Cold series is as delightful as the rest of the series. Criticism that there is a lot of repetition is a little justified, but it doesn‘t detract from the charm of the series. Reading this series always gladdens my heart.
