Dundas manages to pack an incredible amount of material into this book. He thoroughly examines the Canon, the almost immediate parodies and pastiche, then goes into the clubs, the fanfiction, the movies, television shows, comics, and even the lawsuits. He's a bit heavy on his personal experience with Holmes snd Watson, trying a bit too hard to be Chuck Klosterman, perhaps, but overall, this is both informative and fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2.

I declared of the film Dunkirk that Tom Hardy did his very best work with his eyebrows, but I didn't realize it was an actual thing! 😃😃😃
