There was a screen between me and last night‘s reading buddy so I couldn‘t get a good picture, but trust me: he was super cute. His name is Boots.

I was wrong about this book, y‘all. It did take me a little while to click with it, but the story builds very well indeed as it cuts between Ki‘s current life and the circumstances that led her there. I stayed up late to finish it and I hope I‘ll be able to squeeze THE WINDSINGERS in soon.

Lreads Hi Boots! 😠4y
ImperfectCJ The screen makes it look like an embroidery project or something. Very cool picture! 4y

I‘m about a third of the way into HARPY‘S FLIGHT by Megan Lindholm—who, under her Robin Hobb pseudonym, is one of my favourite authors. Her as-Lindholm books have a different vibe than her as-Hobb books, and this one hasn‘t totally hooked me yet. I‘m pretty sure I‘ll finish it, but I dunno if I‘ll rush towards the rest of the series.
