"Every computer geek has dreamed about becoming a wizard, but in 'The Scriptlings' wizards are computer geeks. It kind of makes you want to learn dead languages and how to write computer code, just to see if it would actually work. 'The Scriptlings' is a hilariously insane train ride filled with crazy people, and you're just happy to be there watching the madness." - Garrett Robinson

I haven't read a lot of #MagicalRealism , so here I am, posting about this book once again. Seriously though, it's so much fun! 💜 #BeastsGiveawayChallenge

This is one of my favourite books ever. It's a contemporary fantasy comedy that follows Merkin and Buggeroff, two apprentice magicians (aka Scriptlings) in a world where magic is performed through computer code written in dead languages, like Latin and Sumerian. It's very funny and unique, and you can tell by the type of humour that the author is a big fan of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. ❤️❤️❤️ #SizzlinSummerBooks #1stInSeries

#riotgrams day 6: I'm currently (re)reading The Scriptlings, by Sorin Suciu. It's a great read for fans of Douglas Adams (my favourite author) and I feel like this book never got the attention it deserves. It's funny, intelligent and quite geeky, and the characters are just great. I look forward to its sequel!
