Here the main character gets a special helper and enters a brutal, bone-chilling, and gut-wrenching competition. She makes some tough choices, and she meets some fascinating characters along the way. Personally, I am looking forward to book 2, making this a win. #nospoilers

Is there someone else who is desperateley waiting for a sequel of "fire & flood" or "salt & stone"? Hands up ?? I can not live with this "end" and I don't want to accept it. Basically it isn't even an ending because there is no right conclusion. Anyway I really liked the books which I haven't expected ?
