Sadly this anthology was pretty disappointing. Some of the art, especially the full page colour introductions to a few pieces, was lovely, but the stories themselves...weren't really stories? The majority of them didn't have a narrative and a few of them I just plain didn't understand what was happening. I admire the impulse to have happy queer historical fiction, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be narrative tension! #QueerBooks

queerbookreader Awww there are a bunch of queer comic anthologies I've been dying to read and this is one of them. At least happy queer stuff? 7y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @thequeerspiderwoman If you're not expecting proper stories but more like little glimpses of past happy queer life, then maybe you'll like this?? I'd recommend Power and Magic: The Queer Witches Anthology over this one. 7y
queerbookreader Yeeee okay that one has been on my list too. My library doesn't carry any of these cool queer comic anthologies and it's so sad 😭😭 I've recommended one but they never got it in womp womp 7y
