Fire | James Patterson, Jill Dembowski
2 posts | 28 read | 5 to read
Whit and Wisty Allgood have sacrificed everything to lead the resistance against the merciless totalitarian regime that governs their world. Its supreme leader, The One Who Is The One, has banned everything they hold dear: books, music, art, and imagination. But the growing strength of the siblings' magic hasn't been enough to stop The One's evil rampage, and now he's executed the only family they had left. Wisty knows that the time has finally come for her to face The One. But her fight and her fire only channel more power to this already invincible being. How can she and Whit possibly prepare for a showdown with the ruthless villain that devastated their world--before he can truly become all-powerful? In this stunning third installment of the epic, bestselling Witch & Wizard series, the stakes have never been higher--and the consequences will change everything.

Bailedbailed

Patterson and I are taking a break from each other. We need time to think things through...I had a hard time bailing, since I like to finish what I start. It was rough though. The 3rd in a 5 book series. Every book has a different coauthor so the story didn't flow smoothly. Disappointing. 😔

TheBookAddict I really tried, but with a great TBR pile waiting for me I just couldn't keep on reading it. Did some research and it seems like Patterson uses ghost writers and coauthors quite often, especially on series. Patterson pitches an idea to the coauthor and he or she writes the book. Not a fan! 9y
Jenryland Yeah he and I have a similar relationship.... 9y
TheBookAddict @Jenryland I don't blame you. It also seemed to me like he feels like he's above other authors. A bit too full of himself. 9y

LeeRHarry I have Shadow and Bone in my TBR pile, what did you think of it? 8y
TheBookAddict @LeeRHarry I have not read it yet. I bought it because I red Six of Crows and it was amazing. I've heard great things about Shadow and Bone from many people. Have you read any books by Bardugo before? When I read it I'll let you know. 8y
LeeRHarry It's my first Bardugo book and next in the pile to read as it has to go back to the library soon 😊 should be interesting! 8y
TheBookAddict @LeeRHarry I hope you enjoy it. If it's anything like Six of Crows then it'll be great. Let us know what you think about it. 😊 8y
