Ana Forrest shares her journey of #crawling out of despair and addiction using the power of yoga and meditation. #junetunz @Cinfhen

Cinfhen Do u practice yoga? @BarbaraTheBibliophage thought this book might interest you 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen I practiced regularly for 12 years until dizziness and disequilibrium forced me to stop. Have spent three years trying to find a cause, and I'm closer than ever to doing that. Still have more yoga in my sights - will need it to get healthy and strong again! Thanks for the book recommendation! 😘 8y
Lmstraubie @Cinfhen I do, for about 17 years consistently. I am also a certified adult & children's yoga teacher. 🕉️ ☺️ 8y

Lmstraubie @BarbaraTheBibliophage Sorry to hear about your dizziness. Hope you find a solution soon. 8y
Cinfhen Always think of you @BarbaraTheBibliophage 💕that's amazing, Lisa 🙏🏻my daughter has become obsessed, but I don't seem to enjoy it as much 😔 8y
Lmstraubie @Cinfhen I think everyone has their niche when it comes exercise/movement. There are so many types of yoga as well. You may have just not found yours yet. 😊 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Lmstraubie Thanks - it seems like we're getting closer to the actual core reason. Should know more after another test in 3-4 weeks. It's been a long road, and I honestly think the principles of yoga have helped me even when I can't practice. #equanimity 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen There are so many types of yoga, also different teachers and studios have different vibes. And sometimes people prefer to practice on their own at home. No rules. 😎 8y
Cinfhen You are both correct @BarbaraTheBibliophage @Lmstraubie but I'm pretty sure I'm NOT a yogi 😬 I tried various types/teachers/studios but just doesn't seem to be my thing. I'm so glad to hear you are moving closer to figuring out what is causing your chronic pain @BarbaraTheBibliophage 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen Thanks. Cross yo fingas for me! 8y

Pickpick

As I mentioned over at Goodreads, I'm a sucker for all things Yoga. My inner critic is turned off. Start talking about inner fire and connecting with spirit and I'm sitting cross legged paying rapt attention like a Girl Guide hearing ghost stories at a campfire.

I'm thinking about adding hours to my Yoga teacher training certificate next year. In preparation I'm going to read and re-read my collection of books on Yoga in all it's forms. Ana got mixed reviews. I'm loving it so far.
